Just off Va. 168 in Chesapeake are several hundred acres of land owned by the city of Norfolk. The city's Parks and Recreation department uses around 150 to 200 acres for a tree farm, where roughly 800 trees are harvested a year and planted across Norfolk to beautify city streetscapes, parks and byways.
