PETALING JAYA: Amendments to the Federal Constitution should be put in place at the next Dewan Rakyat sitting to remove discriminatory practices against Malaysian mothers, according to MCA.
PUTRAJAYA: Children born overseas to Malaysian women married to foreign spouses are not entitled to be Malaysian citizens by operation of law, the Court of Appeal has decided in a 2-1 majority ruling.
PUTRAJAYA: The government has failed in its appeal to strike out a lawsuit filed by a non-governmental organisation and six Malaysian mothers with foreign spouses who are seeking for their children, born abroad, to be given automatic citizenship.
