Ford and Tesla link up with free charging adapters for 2 Ford EV models. Eligible Ford owners will soon be able to get their hands on free charging adapters to charge their electric vehicles at Tesla's supercharging stations, as reportedly confirmed by Ford's CEO, Jim Farley himself.
Ford becomes the first major automaker to embrace Tesla's charging standard. Ford reached an agreement with Tesla Motors to provide EV owners access to more than 12,000 Superchargers across the United States and Canada.
All of Ford's current and future electric vehicles will have access to about 12,000 Tesla Supercharger stations in the U.S. and Canada starting next spring.
