Munson Street court site a solution looking for a problem
Officials across Western Massachusetts are aghast at the state Executive Office of the Trial Court’s plan to move trials away from county courthouses to off-site locations “to better promote health and safety precautions.” For Hampshire County trials and the Franklin County Grand Jury, that new super site is the former leased courthouse space on Munson Street in Greenfield. Readers may be forgiven if they thought that temporary venue had been left behind with the opening of the new, state-of-the-art, spacious Franklin County Justice Center on Hope Street. ....
