good evening and welcome to the programme. we ll start with football disorder in england and wales, which has reached an eight year high according to home office figures. there were over 2000 arrests at football matches the highest number since the 2013/11; season. last seasons disorder included players being approached after pitch invasions. incidents were reported at more than half of all matches played. which means they were up by 60% last season compared with the 2018/19 the last full season before covid 19. we can speak now to our sports news correspondent laura scott. very concerning figures forfootball, there are huge rises, why is this? yes, exactly. not entirely surprising. i ve spoken to some people within football today and they say it backs up what they saw last season, what they were expecting. we had seen some
