Stop & Shop Raises Record-Breaking $3.1 Million During Its Annual ’Help Cure Childhood .

QUINCY, Mass., May 05, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) Stop & Shop today announced that its annual ‘Help Cure Childhood Cancer’ campaign raised a record-breaking $3.1 million for pediatric cancer research and care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Stop & Shop will donate additional funding to the campaign, bringing the total donation to the hospitals to $4.25 million.
The campaign, which ran throughout the month of March, allowed customers to round-up their purchases to the nearest dollar or donate an additional $1, $3 or $5 when shopping in store and online. In New York, New Jersey, and Fairfield and New Haven counties in Connecticut, customer donations supported MSK Kids, Memorial Sloan Kettering’s pediatr ....

Stop & Shop today announced the start of its annual Help Cure Childhood Cancer campaign to support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund in Massachusetts and MSK Kids, the Pediatrics Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Since the campaign s inception decades ago, Stop & Shop and its customers have contributed more than $100 million to these two hospitals, allowing them to make significant advancements in pediatric cancer research and care.

Stop & Shop s Help Cure Childhood Cancer campaign will run in-stores and online at www.StopandShop.com from February 26 through March 31. In-store shoppers can donate at checkout, while those shopping online for Pickup or Delivery have the option of giving $1, $3, $5, $10 or $20 when completing their order. 100% of proceeds will benefit the two hospitals. STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Three-year old Staten Island cancer survivor Rocco DiMaggio was chosen as the face of a Stop & Shop fundraising campaign. The effort supports pediatric cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK.)
The in-store campaign highlights local kids ages 3 to 15 who have been treated at MSK and have benefited from collaborations like the one with Stop & Shop.
