Hello again. tuesday was the hottest day of the year so far, a title that will probably last until, well, this afternoon, when we expect temperatures to be a bit higher again. low cloud coming off denmark again, heading across the north sea. 0ver towards france a batch of thunderstorms moving away northwards. over the next few hours, we ll see those storms moving across the channel islands, probably initially with not very much rain but could have lots of thunder and lightning. could be quite a dazzling display. a mild start to wednesday. these are the early morning temperatures 10 14 celsius. through wednesday, it starts to feel much more humid in the south, as those showers and thunderstorms arrive. one or two downpours possible. sunny starts across the east coast of both england and scotland, but from mid morning onwards, north yorkshire northwards will see the low cloud and fog roll back in. still, a very warm day.
