According to the results, the Liberian people voted massively against the ruling party and rejected the referendum. The election was held on December 8, 2020. The National Elections Commission (NEC), after much litigation, gave the majority of the results of the election. The results show that 10 candidates of the ruling party, the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) lost, and 6 candidates of the Collaborative Political Parties (CPP) won. CPP is a coalition of 4 opposition parties: the Unity Party, the Liberty Party, the Alternative National Congress, and the All Liberian Party. 3 independent candidates won their respective elections.
