Gruff Rhys posts Can’t Carry On from Seeking New Gods album Gruff Rhys posts Can’t Carry On from Seeking New Gods album It’s Gruff Rhys’ seventh solo album. Gruff Rhys has shared Can’t Carry On from his forthcoming Seeking New Gods LP. Out on May 21st, the album was originally driven by Mount Paektu, but has been described by the Super Furry Animals frontman as being more broadly about, ‘people and the civilizations, and the spaces people inhabit over periods of time’. Rhys is aiming to get out on the road in the UK and Ireland as this year progresses, starting with shows in Islington and Brighton.

Hip hop artist Dani Rain, also the drummer with North Wales pop punk outfit Neck Deep, and Cardiff-born grime MC Benji Wild performed at PGW’s TV studio in the Centre for the Creative Industries.

Festivals unite to stage Gwyl online lockdown show

One of the organisers, Graeme Farrow, said the event would be a celebration of what we can enjoy again hopefully very soon . The line-up includes musicians Cate Le Bon, Gruff Rhys, Catrin Finch, band Adwaith, as well as comedian Kiri Pritchard-McLean among others. Gwyl will be available on the BBC website over the weekend. It has been created by the organisers behind the Festival of Voice, Focus Wales, Other Voices Cardigan and the Aberystwyth Comedy Festival.
