At night, the angel transforms into a bright beacon for the holiday season. The words “Oh Holy Night” announce the presence of the angel, which is framed by the colorful stained-glass facade of Beauty Spot Missionary Baptist Church. She is the brainchild of Iresteen Grant and the church’s Floral Ministry. Grant said the ministry came up with the angel as a way to provide encouragement to the community. “Everything is going haywire,” Grant says. “COVID has affected, in one way or another, everybody in the area in some form or fashion. “People are feeling stressed and down, and we wanted to erect a symbol of hope, peace, love and protection.” ....
