let s go to kaley hartung. we are learning about the victims who died in this. what can you tell us? reporter: we are. first to this salvage operation. what s so striking when you see that barge in the live pictures of the salvage operation is how close it was to shore. this is an amphibious vehicle. it landed on its wheels and rolled 40 feet to a depth of 80 feet. we believe the divers in the water are in the process of bringing the cabling from that barge down to the boat. they will connect it and that crane on the barge will lift the boat up. first they will lift it a bit from the lake bed. they will perform a float test to ensure the stability of the crane and rigging before they pull it 80 feet to the surface.
