“We hope to improve both sustainability and food security within the Flin Flon area.” Plans for the garden are to have the garden be open to the public, allowing community members to visit and possibly help maintain the garden. Organizers also hope to offer classes and educational programming, like beginners’ gardening, art classes inspired by nature, nutrition, ecology and other subjects. While the location of the garden has not been officially released, organizers are hoping to get started on the project this summer and are looking for volunteers and people to donate seeds.
