the big story is a destructive blaze that tore through a three story building at covington village. jeff chirico is there live tonight. jeff? monica, in all nine people were hospitalized. eight of them are first responders. we are told none of their injuries appear to be life threatening. fire crews are wrapped up at the scene with you you ca but you ce that left 37 people homeless tonight. it was an emotional night as family members reunited with loved ones chased from their homes by fire. chopper 6 shows the fire ripping through the fire at this condo building, at a 55 and over community. it was black smoke and then within ten minutes, the flames were just shooting up. joe heard a neighbor yelling and escaped his first floor condo with little more than what he was wearing. he said there s a fire in the back of the building. i grabbed my wife and we took off. crews searched all 3 30 unit. two police officers rescued a resident and all three were hoppizehophospita
