Mar 11, 2021 12:11:11 PM The Fiji Roads Authority has granted an approval permit to a businessman for a temporary road closure for a proposed march against the Police Bill through Suva city next Saturday. The permit for a protest march against the proposed Police Bill was applied by local businessman Ben Padarath. The move for a vocal protest against the proposed Bill is supported by Social Democratic Liberal Party member and Parliament Whip Lynda Tabuya. Tabuya, in an interview, said the Social Democratic Liberal Party members would be gathering signatures for a petition which will be later presented to Parliament. She said this was in line with the speaker Ratu Epeli Nailatikau’s directive that he will not consider signatures of petitions lodged online, but those collected manually.
