we begin with john mccain and his controversial war record. the former navy pilot was shot down and spent five and a half years as a prisoner during vietnam, so it is shocking that someone would say th. i have tremendous respect for mccain, but i don t buy the war hero thing. anybody company captured. i thought the idea was to capture them. as far as i m concerned he sat out the war. yes that was al fra fl ken franken in 2000 and here is wesley clark challenging mccain s service while stumping for obama in 2008. i don t think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president. and someone else taking a shot at mccain s heroism. he a war hero. he a war hero. he a war hero that got captured. there s a lot of guys in jail that got captured.
