“在那一刻每一个中国人都是幸福的！当时的感觉和我自己拿到世界冠军时如出一辙！”如今已是市儿体校训练科科长、蹦床队教练的季磊告诉记者，“在这么激烈的竞争之下，北京能够拿到世界上如此重要的体育盛会的主办权，相当于拿了一次世界冠军，在场的所有人都感到无比的骄傲和自豪！”
“那一刻我当然是很激动！很兴奋！”如今身为江苏体操队的领队，当时已是奥运冠军的黄旭告诉记者，“当时我正在凤凰卫视做电视直播，一边看北京申奥成功，那心情和所有国人一样振奋。”
