Stoneham Historical Society has special unit for town's third graders

This is the time of the year when the Stoneham Historical Society & Museum is typically poised for what is one of our most important and popular programs. Every third grade classroom, their teacher and chaperones embark on a scheduled Field Trip trek to the Museum and Ten Footer located at 36 William St. in Stoneham.
They are cheerfully welcomed and invited inside the museum for a chance to briefly step back in time.  
Under the excellent guidance of the Third Grade School Program Coordinator, Cheryl Werlin and her amazing cadre of retired educators and other experienced volunteers, students are divided into smaller groups and receive a tour of the many exhibits which also includes a Scavenger Hunt. ....

Lewes resident calls out government for lack for diversity

Lewes resident Alicia Jones has lodged two complaints with the city’s board of ethics regarding lack of diversity in those serving the city, including people appointed to committees and commissions. 
Board of Ethics Chair Mark Harris brought the complaints to mayor and city council’s April 26 meeting for discussion. As the complaints are not against a specific person, Harris said, the board is unable to take action. ....
