City of Hopkinsville receives 'clean' audit, council approves budget amendments | WHOP 1230 AM


Council approved amendments to both the operational budget and the capital budget amendments increasing the amount of CARES Act funding received from $2.2 million to $2.9 million. The capital budget now includes funding for renovations to Tie Breaker Aquatic Center, renovations to the old First City Bank building and body cameras for the Hopkinsville Police Department. In other action, city council approved a supplement to the Code of Ordinances, which includes ordinances adopted through December 31, 2020.
Councilmember Phillip Brooks was selected to serve as presiding officer over council should the mayor be absent.
