Spotify Announces Collaboration With K-Pop Artists for RADAR Korea, AleXa as the First Artist
Starting off the collaboration project for RADAR Korea is K-Pop artist, AleXa, and Arabic pop star, Bader AlShuaibi. This will be the first time a K-Pop artist is participating in Spotify s RADAR program, which help supports global rising artists.

Spotify said that the two artists worked on the song Is It On together, which has a fresh melody that is based on a unique rhythm of reggaeton, and has an addictive lead sound and intense drop. For this RADAR collaboration, Spotify oversaw the overall project, from connecting the two artists to their marketing.

Red Velvet Member Joy to Make Solo Debut
On Wednesday, May 12, SM Entertainment confirmed that Red Velvet member Joy is gearing up for her solo debut!
The label released a short statement, saying that Joy is currently preparing to make a remake album. They have not revealed any release date nor debut schedule and have stated that they will release a detailed schedule very soon.

Female artists from all around the world participating in Spotify s EQUAL campaign
The EQUAL playlists will be launched in each country, and will feature 50 of the country s domestic female artists from various genres through monthly updates. Spotify will also be launching EQUAL Global, which features 70 female artists from all around the world. EQUAL features female artists such as Saweetie, Griff, G.E.M, Nadine Lustre and more.

In South Korea, Red Velvet s Wendy, who recently made her debut as a solo artist, joined the campaign as the first Korean female artist to represent the country in the campaign.
