That sometimes sets americans against one another and instead make big goals and ive set forth some big goal, getting the economy to work for everyone, not just those at the top. Making sure we have the best Education System from preschool to college and making it affordable and so much else. If we set those goals and go together to try to achieve them, theres nothing in my opinion that america cant do. So thats why i hope that we will come together in this campaign. Obviously, im hoing to earn your vote, hoping to be b elected in november and i can promise you, i will work with every american. I want to be the president for all americans. Regardless of your political beliefs, where you come from, what you look like, your religion. I want us heal our country and bring it together. Our children and grandchildren deserve. Thank you. You have two minutes. Well, i actually agree with that. I agree with everything she said. I began this campaign because i was so tired of seeing such foolish
made increasingly pessimistic predictions. that is the same message we are now hearing from president zelensky on down as the u.s. has issued its most dire warning yet. now, president zelensky in that clip you played, he was down south in the southern part of the country observing ukrainian military exercises that not at all coincidentally are taking place at exactly the same time as russian military exercises are taking place in belarus. president zelensky says he still needs to analyze all of the information and casting some doubt about the certainty of the prospect of a russian invasion. fred, at the same time, we are hearing a more rousing statement from ukraine s defense minister who said that this is a different country, this is a different military than the one in 2014 when ukraine was invaded and crimea was annexed without firing a single shot. i want to read you part of the defense minister s statement. he says, everyone who has
attacks without sending, without firing a single shot, without sending troops overseas, without having to support a military invasion. it s cheap, it s easy, it s done from within russia. it s done by their own intelligence services or criminal groups, contractors that they hire that out to, and they can literally shut down sectors of economies if they wish to do that. they have been probing our systems and invading our networks in this country for years, and many of those places done just for this, to establish the sort of capability that they can rely on in the event that they need it, and they might very well need it now. president biden said today that the u.s. is prepared to respond to russian cyber attacks should they come. what type of cyber capabilities does the u.s. have to use against russia? so don, our folks are just as skillful, just as practiced, just as impactful in the ways
when they invaded crimea and annexed crimea. what we hear over and over again from the civilians all the way to president zelensky the other day. he said, this is not the ukraine of 2014. this is ukraine of 2022. our military has been built up. it is much stronger. it is much more stream lined. we have the backing of the united states, of nato. they have those weapons and they have the training. so they claim that they are ready to fate. they are ready to confront a russian threat. if russia decides to come in, it won t be like crimea was last time. i was there eight years ago. the russians took crimea without firing a single shot. it wouldn t be like this this time between ukrainian military, the reservists, the territorial defenses as they call them. people in the street who would just pick up arms. you would see a much heavier dose of fighting. a much higher level of fighting.
capitulate to the taliban because originally in some of the earlier fights there was a sense that they were fighting hard and trying to resist and launching counter-offensives. but in the past couple of days the taliban has been taking provincial capitals without firing a single shot. indeed, when we drove to ghazni thr , we saw afghan soldiers running out of their base hailing civilian car and booking out of there. so very quickly afghan forces have essentially decided to give up on this fight. it is truly stunning and we are confirming now that several of president ashraf ghani s closest advisors are at the airport awaiting a flight out of kabul. so make of that what you will. clarissa ward, thank you so much for the reporting. let s talk more about the u.s. troops that are being deployed to afghanistan. u.s. officials say they are going to be there to ensure an
