FLOODPLAIN NOTICE Notice is hereby given by the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) that a grant application is being made for the Lake Mitchell Marina Development Project in Mitchell, Davison County, South Dakota. The project will consist of construction of a breakwater jetty on Lake Mitchell just southeast of Firesteel Park, as well as improvements to approximately 5,400 feet of Firesteel Trail along the lakeshore in the vicinity of the proposed marina. A determination has been made by the EDA, in accordance with the President’s Executive Order 11988, that portions of the project will be located in the 100-year floodplain and that there is no practicable alternative.
