Police recovered more human remains under the debris of BM Container Depot today in Chattogram’s Sitakunda, 10 days after the blast that claimed 47 lives so far.
Panic spread among officials at the Chattogram Port when smoke began billowing from an acid-loaded container on Tuesday, around three days after the BM container depot fire and explosion.
After 86 hours, the devastating fire at BM Container Depot in Chattogram's Sitakunda has finally been doused, said Lt Col Ariful Islam, commander of the 18th Brigade of Bangladesh Army's 24th Infantry Division.
More human remains including a human skull, bones and other body parts were recovered by fire service officials from the debris of BM Container Depot near the blast site this evening, taking the death toll to 45, according to police.
