As the summer heat continues to burn up, the Hopkinsville Fire Department and Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Department are teaming up for the second annual Hoptown Hose Down to keep communities cool.
Beginning Tuesday, June 1, the team will have an HFD-provided pumper truck traveling to six different parks to safely spray down attendees with a water hose and nozzle throughout Hopkinsville.
Parks and Recreation department employees will be on site at each event facilitating the mobile spray parks.
“Hoptown Hose Down was born last summer after creative alternatives to allow our residents to have some cool, clean fun,” Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman said. ....
