SIALKOT (Dunya News) - Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has reprimanded Assistant Commissioner Sialkot Sonia Sadaf for failing to control the sale of substandard items in Ramadan bazaars.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan paid a special visit to the Ramadan bazaars. Assistant Commissioner Sonia Sadaf and other officials were also present on the occasion. Firdous Ashiq Awan took stern notice of the sale of substandard goods and told AC Sialkot that it was her duty to check the quality of the goods. ....

LAHORE: SACM on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said the Punjab government is working to provide relief to the people under the Ramazan package while ensuring strict implementation of price control mechanism. In a statement here Wednesday, Firdous said Chief Minister Usman Buzdar is actively working to monitor the situation of demand and supply of edibles to provide benefits to the masses. She said the chief minister has directed to contact flour mills associations to stabilise the price of flour. The government has conducted 31,000 raids, registered more than 2,000 cases and Rs50 million fines were also imposed on the violators of the law, she further said. She said FIA’s former DG Bashir Memon is levelling baseless allegations on the government after failure in getting choice positing. KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Firdous Shamim Naqvi says the competition in the NA-249 by-poll being held in Karachi will be fierce till the last vote is counted.
He, however, told Geo News on Thursday that PTI is leading in every survey related to the NA-249 constituency of Karachi.
Polling for the by-election in the NA-249 constituency started at 8am and will continue till 5pm without any interval. The National Assembly seat fell vacant after PTI s Faisal Vawda resigned.
Vawda worked for the NA-249 constituency after it was neglected for 20 years, said Naqvi, while talking about PTI s chances of winning in the by-poll. ....
