Among the spots where raids were carried out on Tuesday are New Market KOLKATA: The Kolkata Municipal Corporation and Kolkata Police on Tuesday jointly conducted a surprise raid in and around New Market, picked up hawkers who were illegally blocking streets and seized ‘dalas’ of a section of hawkers occupying car parking lots. Both KMC and police have indicated that the raids will persist till hawkers fall in line and adhere to rules.
