Portsmouth 2021 and beyond: McKinley Pool in need of upgrades, lifeguards

PORTSMOUTH- Uncertainty surrounds summer plans and activities for area families who do not know what to expect in the next stage of the coronavirus pandemic.
In what will be its 55th year since opening that same feeling is shared by the city’s McKinley Pool who is in need of lifeguards and facility upgrades to ensure a successful reopening and season.
He has been sentenced A MAN who entered a shop from which he was banned from doing so and threatened two members of staff has been given a suspended prison sentence. Jack Mountford-Holding, of Findlay Street, Leigh appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court. Mountford-Holding, 25, pleaded guilty to nine charges in total for which he was given a 32-week sentence, suspended for 12 months. He entered Sainsburys in Leigh on February 17, which he was prohibited from doing so by as Criminal Behavioural Order imposed in April last year. He also indicated guilty pleas to two charges of making threats. The 25-year-old also admitted to four charges of stealing bottles of bottles of Jack Daniels between December 30 last year and February 6.

Findlay Market is the last remaining public market in Cincinnati, surviving the demise of eight others on Canal (1829-64), Court (1864-1914), Sixth (1829-1960), Pearl (1804-1934), Wade (1848-98), and Fifth (1829-70) streets, the Jabez Elliott Flower Market (1890-1950), and Farmers Wholesale Market (c.1815-1967). Findlay Market is the oldest continuously operated public market in Ohio.

PORTSMOUTH It’s been a work in progress for nearly two years, but Portsmouth City Council took care of the business of renaming a portion of a city street on Tuesday.
Between the Scioto County Sheriff’s Department and Route 52, that portion of Findlay Street will be renamed to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
