Al-qaeda, but the question is, do these various different franchises, are they really loyal to that new leader or maybe they have concerns. it s a mystery. it s been weeks now and there s been nothing from these groups. they ve issued statements, but haven t said anything about zawahiri. another thing we get from this washington post article is that all the drone attacks that have been happening greatly affected al-qaeda s operations. no doubt about that. whether we re talking about the drone strikes or financing, it s not a secret. al-qaeda has made several statements saying look, we have a real financial problem here. we have people that want to carry out suicide bombings and can t afford the car for the attack. this is what al-qaeda is saying publicly. so you have to imagine there really is a financing problem there and apparently, if what the report in the washington post is correct, it is having an immediate impact. you know, how does al-qaeda get financed? ....
Alice rivlin who says medicare, itself, is unsustainable? obviously, there is a long-term medicare financing problem. a few weeks ago, the medicare trustee put out a report and said the trust fund will be, you know, fully funded through 2024. it will be nice to have it be longer. we have a little bit of time. we have a challenge, but it s not that we fall off of a cliff. i think one of the things that we try to do as we look at healthcare is set up a system where it can change over time. affordable care act isn t carved in stone there are aspects of it. as we learn more, we will be evolving. the president would cap spending every year eventually. how does it work? how can you arbitrarily pick a growth rate and see that is it without affecting care in some way? all of the plans that have scorable savings do something that, you know, caps expenses. in the case of thepet s plan, ....
Dangerous, potentially lethal, levels. the faa has been remiss in terms of hiring people properly. yes, there s a financing problem, but that doesn t absolve controllers across the country from falling asleep on the job. i mean, they have a shift. they should have been awake. they should be fired. they did a bad job. it s a disservice to other controllers who keep us safe, but it s not so much this is an instance of bad management and bad supervision. now, additional controllers will be added in 27 airports, but just recently congress voted to cut the faa budget by some $4.3 million, so in this obsession is cutting, who is going to pay for the extra staff? well, number one, there s a lot of fat at the faa. they re wasting a lot of money going in the wrong direction with a lot of technological problems, they have some overhead issues, but putting two people where one was before doesn t necessarily solve the problem. it just means maybe they can spell each other when they want ....
Criminal after this is over? you know, look, first, let s get him out of power. if somebody wants to take him. bill: we should take him. the panam jet was ours. i agree. you are right about that. bill: all right. on the wisconsin thing, just real quick, less than a minute. what should walker do now? he has got to do something. those guys aren t coming back to the state. what should he doof? i think he is doing the right thing by waiting until this bipartisan fiscal board says he is out of time in order to handle the financing problem of the state. then he ought to go ahead and allow people to be fired and then consider or be laid off and then he ought to consider separating these two measures so they can go ahead and give the state the local and school districts the tool to handle their collective bargaining problems. and then let the democrats continue to be out and they can t pass the budget repair bill but they can pass the collective bargaining piece of it and help the lo ....
