Super Conferences: purists hate them and AD s love them. With the recent developments of Texas and Oklahoma coming to the SEC. It only seems inevitable that we get a large super league and a smaller developmental league. At face value it is a purists nightmare. The top 12 teams knocking eachother out and letting the more than occasional sub par team to steal a championship. However what if we did the one thing most commenters on RBR have been adamantly against. Expansion. Forget about the top 10 or 12 teams in one conference. Lets try the top 48. These teams would be split into 4 confernces with 6 team divisions. Sounds a lot like the current NCAA format minus the Vanderbilt s and Illinois of the world. With this comes an 8 team playoff wher the 4 conference champions get auto bids with 4 other at large bids decided by the old bcs computer format. The divisions are regional so ....
