Mozart as a Rebel With a Cause: New Series to Forefront Genius Political Agenda (EXCLUSIVE) John Hopewell, provided by FacebookTwitterEmail Following on from dark Mipdrama thriller “The Winemaker,” Germany’s Goodfriends Filmproduktion, producer of recent HBO Max release “Arthur’s Law,” is re-teaming with Austria’s Satel Film, the company behind Netflix smash hit “Freud,” to produce “Mozart,” a limited series that casts Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in a new and revolutionary light. Andreas Prochaska, “The Winemaker” director and co-writer, is attached to direct from a screenplay penned by multi-prized Austrian screenwriter Martin Ambrosch. Skip to main content Disney Plus Takes Latin America, RTVE Snags Spain on Filmax-Sold Animated Feature Turu and the Wackies (EXCLUSIVE) John Hopewell, provided by FacebookTwitterEmail Disney Plus has acquired Latin American broadcast rights to animated musical “Turu and the Wackies,” a 26-episode CGI spin-off series from the hit 2019 toon movie “Turu, the Wacky Hen,” a Spanish Academy best animated feature winner that Filmax has sold to 75 countries. In further deals, Spanish public broadcaster RTVE has taken broadcast rights in Spain and A’Punt those to Spain’s Valencia region. Filmax will also handle Spanish distribution to the latest outing from Gay, whose 2021 Goya Awards contender “The People Upstairs,” has sold to major territories in Europe and North America.
