Quilting is about more than making blankets, it’s an artform, according to members of a Fort Kent quilters guild hoping to help preserve the craft in northern Maine.
Opening night was a success when Valley Unified high school students tackled a nearly three-hour production of the Broadway hit musical “Guys and Dolls” on Thursday.
Hard work and dedication paid off for some local Cub Scouts who moved up in the ranks this weekend. Cub Scout Pack 189 celebrated a Blue and Gold Ceremony Saturday to recognize the achievements of dozens of youngsters with their eyes on community service and self-betterment.
