Locarno Mit Aufführungen unterm Sternenzelt für Tausende Filmfans gehört Locarno weltweit zu den schönsten Filmfestivals. Die Eröffnung der 74. Ausgabe wurde allerdings von Regen geprägt.

Die Eröffnungsgala des 74. Internationalen Filmfestivals im schweizerischen Locarno konnte am Abend nicht, wie es Tradition ist, unter freiem Himmel stattfinden.
Nur wenige wetterfeste Filmfans verfolgten die Live-Übertragung auf der Piazza Grande des Ortes. Regen zwang die Mehrzahl des Publikums ins überdachte Festivalkino. ....

O incêndio que destruiu parte do acervo da Cinemateca Brasileira na Zona Oeste de São Paulo tem sido motivo de revolta não só para os brasileiros, mas também para instituições internacionais. A Associação de Cinematecas Europeias publicou nesta terça-feira, 3, uma nota de repúdio denunciando o descaso do governo federal para com a tragédia. O texto é assinado por representantes de instituições culturais de Portugal, Holanda, República Checa, Dinamarca, Itália, Alemanha, Finlândia, Bélgica e Sérvia.
No comunicado, a Associação presta apoio aos funcionários da Cinemateca e faz questão de lembrar que eles não devem, em hipótese alguma, ser responsabilizados pelo desastre. “O governo federal tem tratado a Cinemateca com tanto desprezo que em 2020 a instituição morreu de fome: fundos congelados, funcionários não pagos e demitidos, atividades paralisadas inclusive a conse ....
