Martins Ferry City Council plans spring cleanup for March 27 | News, Sports, Jobs

MARTINS FERRY The city is gearing up for another spring cleanup on March 27 near the former city garage property on First Street.
Martins Ferry City Council President Kristine Davis said Mayor John Davies made the announcement about the cleanup during this week’s council meeting on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, JB Green Team also has slated several cleanups across townships in Belmont County.
The Martins Ferry city cleanup is set for 8 a.m. to noon March 27 for city residents only. Residents can bring their unwanted household materials to the site for disposal into dumpsters.
No hazardous materials can be disposed of including paint, chemicals, tires or TVs. ....

BELMONT BREWERKS is looking forward to the return of warmer weather so it can serve people in its outdoor dining space and turf area where people can eat, play bean bag toss, other games and listen to live music.
Owner says community is important to eatery
MARTINS FERRY Belmont Brewerks, Martins Ferry’s newest downtown restaurant and bar, is gearing up for warmer weather and serving patrons in its outdoor dining area.
Co-owner Nicole Stephens said the eatery’s patio enclosure will remain available until May, but as the weather permits people will again be served outside in the turf area. ....
