NEW PUBLIC MARKET. Local officials on Monday (June 6, 2022) witness the laying of a time capsule for the construction of a public market. The project is worth PHP132 million funded by the Development Bank of the Philippines. (Contributed) LAOAG CITY - A new two-story public market is expected to bring more life to its vendors and buyers as it is expected to rise along the newly-constructed bypass road in Barangay 12 Puyupuyan, Pasuquin town. Funded by the Development Bank of the Philippines for PHP132 million, the new market aims to provide a more comfortable space for vendors and buyers and decongest traffic in the old site occupying a whole block at the southeast end of the former town plaza. On Monday, town officials led by Mayor Ferdinand Aguinaldo led a simple groundbreaking ceremony of the new public market.
