This week, the world’s tallest building had Rihanna’s face projected
on to the side of it for the launch of her new skincare brand Fenty Skin, as well as the pop-up of Fenty Skin Island at The Dubai Mall Promenade.
However, the
Umbrella singer is not the first to have her image projected on to the Burj Khalifa. In December, BTS member V had his face projected in celebration of his 25th birthday, after a fan club China raised funds to make it happen.
In November, the landmark lit up to celebrate the 55th birthday of Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan, who was in Dubai for the occasion.

Rihanna celebrated the launch of her long-awaited skincare line, Fenty Skin, by speaking to fans from the side of the Burj Khalifa.
A video of the star was projected on to the side of the world’s tallest building on Wednesday evening, coinciding with the opening of pop-up Fenty Skin Island at The Dubai Mall Promenade.
“Hello Dubai, I am so honoured to be projected on the Burj Khalifa for the launch of Fenty Skin,” she said from the 828-metre structure. “Please go check out my Fenty Skin Island at The Dubai Mall Promenade.”
Fans of the singer s beauty range can now get their hands on her skincare products at Sephora stores across the region.

Award-winning pop star Rihanna has just launched her new skincare line Fenty Skin in Dubai. The range was launched with an island-themed pop-up at The Dubai Mall promenade as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival.
Skincare line includes Fenty Skin Total Cleans’r Cove, Fat Water Falls and Hydra Vizor Sundeck. The juice bar will serve island drinks ‘inspired by the natural and invigorating ingredients used in the Fenty Skin range’.
The award-winning singer’s skincare line was also projected on the Burj Khalifa with a clip featuring the star voice. “Hello Dubai, I am so honoured to be projected on the Burj Khalifa for the launch of Fenty Skin. Please go check out my Fenty Skin Island at The Dubai Mall Promenade,” she says in the advertisement clip.
