UA-Fayetteville, Elkins Primary School partner for tutoring

Kindergarteners at Elkins Primary School will receive free tutoring while future teachers in the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville s College of Education and Health Professions will gain vital education experience through an initiative from Arkansas Tutoring Corps.

Tice White is June's Betty J Lewis Spotlight

Tice White was born on January 22, 1978, in Camden, Arkansas to Robert and Ora White. He was raised in Camden, Arkansas, and attended Camden Fairview Public Schools. While attending Camden Fairview High School he also attended SAU-Tech as one of the first students enrolled in the concurrent enrollment program. He graduated from Camden Fairview High School in 1996. After graduating high school, White attended the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville where he majored in political science with a minor in education. While attending the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville he worked for the Student Affairs division as a Resident Assistant for two years at the largest residence hall on the University campus. In 2001, he graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a Bachelor s Degree in Political Science from the Fulbright College of Arts & Science. In 2004, he also received a Master s Degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville
