One was conversations with men that were like mentors in my life. basically, other father figures. you know, another was having read the book wild at heart which john eldridge is the author and plays a huge role in the film and i m a single father myself of two kids and just seeing how pivotal that role is and how important it is and needing guys to step up into that role wasn t something that was really being portrayed all that often so i thought it was a good topic to take on. james, what do you say to people who watching right now? you re a big success now. that was a long time ago. you should be over it. are you over it? well, there s there is there is a father wound that you never really recover from. you can you can change the past by not re-creating it. and that s what i think we re here to state is that as a man, you can show up for your kids lives especially having a young son, being able to talk with him and say, you know, i don t know
