Edmund Fawcett’s Conservatism: The Fight for a Tradition was published in October, and follows on from his 2015 work Liberalism: the Life of an Idea. Fawcett has had a glittering career in journalism, writing for The Economist for several decades, where he served as the chief correspondent in Washington, Paris, Berlin and Brussels.
