FLAGSTAFF, AZ — Flagstaff rescue crews stayed overnight on Mount Elden after attempting a rescue on an injured hiker Thursday evening.
Flagstaff Fire Department says they responded to the call on Fat Mans Loop Trail at around 5 p.m. along with Superstition Fire & Medical District.
When they arrived on scene, they used information from the injured hiker s cell phone call to 911 prior to his phone dying to locate him.
The patient was then located later that evening in an incredibly difficult area to access, with a severely broken ankle. ....
