"There are nearly 300 food plazas under operation by the IRCTC and over 75 more are expected to be finalized in the coming months. Hence, the IRCTC has requested the railways for reconsideration of its decision," IRCTC spokesperson Anand Jha said.
The zonal railways is conducting reviews of sites for major catering units that have been vacant for one year or more and set up food outlets with provision of local or regional cuisine.
