Farmway Village has a long history of welcoming farm workers and their families to a safe place. The Canyon County Labor Camp started in the 1940's with displaced Dust Bowl families.

She was one of four students from the College, joining Yaxeny Lopez, Jessica Martinez, and Jasmine Stanciu, to live at CHA (commonly known as Farmway Village) this academic year as part of a research project.
Idaho employs an average of 53,000 farmers annually, but the state only has 274 homes subsidized by the federal government for farmworkers. The state is looking for ways to build more farmworker housing.
