Kalinga farmer designated as Farmer Director for May

CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga, May 14 (PIA) - - Michael Lumas-i of Tabuk City is named Farmer-Director for the Cordillera Administrative Region for May as part of the celebration of t Farmers and Fisherfolks Month.
Lumas-i, who is the chairperson of the Regional Agricultural and Fishery Council, shall assume the roles and responsibilities of DA-Regional Director under the Farmer-Director Program, which is in recognition of farmers and fisherfolks as key players in agricultural and rural development.
As a Farmer-Director, I will continue farming advocacy to ensure that the program and project interventions of the government, particularly of DA are seen to be fully utilized by our fellow farmers. Thus, this will give them opportunities to produce high quality agriculture products, he said. ....
