The Haryana government on Tuesday announced that mobile internet services and bulk SMS will remain suspended at certain places in Ambala district from February 28 to February 29 in view of the ongoing farmers' "Delhi Chalo" agitation. However, the BKU (Ekta Ugrahan), which is a member of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha, is not part of the 'Delhi Chalo' call. Farmer organisations are on a mobilisation campaign in Punjab and Haryana to make the call for ‘Dilli Chalo march a success. They are demanding enactment of a law to guarantee Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops, among many other demands such as implementation of the Swaminathan Commission s recommendations, pension for farmers, etc.
