Actor, filmmaker, singer, screenwriter and an aesthete, Farhan Akhtar dons many hats. Born to noted lyricist Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani, Farhan, who grew up in the shadow of the Hindi film industry, kicked off his career in showbiz as an assistant director in Lamhe and Himalay Putra. 
In 2001, Farhan made his debut as a director with Dil Chahta Hai , a film which was produced by his own production company Excel Entertainment, which he had established in 1999. The film won Farhan a National Award and his journey as a director began. Later, he went on to direct Lakshya , Don and Don 2 . Farhan made his acting debut in 2008 with the film Rock On which went onto becoming a massive hit. ....
