A quiet ceremony today the first female sheriff of San Francisco took the oath of office. Senator Dianne Feinstein swore in vicki hennessy. She won the november election with 61 of the vote defeat ross mirkarimi. She started working at the Sheriffs Office in 1975. Hennessy was part of the first recruitment class that included women. But park rangers say that wasnt the case earlier this week. Some swells were around 15 feet high just pounding at the shoreline. Many park users noticed signs of erosion on the beach. You can see debris on the beach that certainly the tide has come right in to where the cliffs start. A little worrisome i guess when you think about the beach integrity.
