Today we actually watched the press conference with leaders from the local antiDomestic Violence groups. They say it is a great first step but need more help on the local level. Id like to make a few points. The philadelphia Domestic Violence collaborative meets once a month. Today they are meeting and watching the nfl press conference. Representatives from congreso, women against Domestic Abuse, the lutheran house and others agree that they are glad that Roger Goodell is holding himself accountable and putting things in place to hold players accountable, too. It will be fascinating to see what concrete things happen as a result of this. Goodell said the nfl is forming a Longtime Partnership with the national Domestic Violence hot line and the resource center. The hot line sends the local callers towards the programs here.
