Southern Hills Golf Club, Hawkinsville Georgia, was the site of history for Fannin County High School and the Fannin County Golf Program on May 18th 2021. Lainey Panter made Fannin County history by capturing the AA Girls State Golf Individual Championship ( Low Medalist) with rounds of 77 and 75. Lainey is the 1st Golf State Women’s Champion in School history. Panter entered the final round of the 2 day event 1 shot back trailing Blair Maner from Lovett. Maner, shot a 76 on Monday to have a 1 shot lead over Lainey. Lainey would not be denied on Tuesday. A quick recap of her final round on Tuesday. Despite a bogey on hole 1 of the final round, Lainey ,would par the 2nd hole and Birdie the 3rd hole. The momentum was starting to swing in the direction of the young Lady Rebel as she finished the front 9 with a 38 on a very tough course. ....
