Seaway Valley Prevention Council offers services for SLC residents struggling with substance abuse

OGDENSBURG – Amid the COVID pandemic and an opioid epidemic, the Seaway Valley Prevention Council continues to provide services for St. Lawrence County residents struggling with substance or alcohol misuse.
The agency, at 206 Ford St., strives to provide free services for everyone. “We’re here for every member of the family, from children to parents, to grandparents,” says Chelsea Bartlett, program director.
“Everyone in the community is impacted by substance use in one way or another. We strive to provide services that capture each unique individual.”
Seaway Valley’s most recent addition is a drop-in recovery center open to the public Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free service is for anyone impacted by substance or alcohol use disorder. ....
