Rishikesh: An octogenarian hermit named Swami Shankar Das aka Fakkad Baba who has made a cave his home for over 50 years donated ₹ 1 crore for the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The money collected was the result of the donations the cave received from the devotees. 
Das had heard about the donation drive that was initiated by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and wanted to do his bit. I have been living in a cave for more than 50 years now. When I heard about this initiative, I thought why not donate to a cause that has been my lifelong dream, he told the Hindi daily named  ....
