A MOTION for opposition assemblymen to be involved in their respective district action committee meetings has been rejected at the state assembly here.
JOHOR BARU: Three Johor Parti Amanah Negara assemblymen have left the party to join PKR.
The three are Senggarang assemblyman Khairuddin A. Rahim, Mahkota assemblyman Muhamad Said Jonit and Serom assemblyman Faizul Amri Adnan.
Khairuddin confirmed that they had joined PKR since last year.
“We sent in our applications around September last year and it was approved somewhere around November.
“I left the party as I wanted to contest for a parliamentary seat but there are limited seats for Johor Amanah to contest in, ” he said, adding that he had not sent any formal request to leave Amanah as it was not required for him to do so.
Senggarang assemblyman Khairuddin A. Rahim said he does not like to term crossing over as he was only migrating to a another Pakatan Harapan component party.
ISKANDAR PUTERI: Senggarang assemblyman Khairuddin A. Rahim believes there is light at the end of the tunnel for him, following his decision to quit Parti Amanah Negara and join its fellow Pakatan Harapan component party PKR.
The 62-year-old, who was previously Johor Amanah secretary, said he actually left the party in September and became a member of PKR s Batu Pahat division a month later.
