Wonder about their own childs bus safety. We have a closer look at the issue of school bus safety. Reporter even before this terrible tragedy, the national Highway Traffic Safety Administration had a straightforward answer for the question of how safe are school buses . That answer is that they are the safest way for children to get to and from school. The Administration Says that buses are seven than traveling by car or truck. While more than 30,000 people are killed in crashes every year, six School Aged Children die as passengers in school buses annually. Of course we want the number to be zero but statistics reveal how rare School Bus Crash deaths really are. Still questions remain about why safety belts arent required on school buses like they have been in cars. The government doesnt feel theyre needed.
